The Constantia Wine Walk

We meet at Groot Constantia, the spiritual home of South African wine, you’ll receive details of the meeting point upon booking. 

We walk around Groot Constantia for 1.5 hours. It’s a gentle, flat walk through oak-lined avenues and vineyards, sharing stories of the visionary winemakers and bold women who shaped the oldest wine region in the southern hemisphere along the way.

We taste three wines at the Groot Constantia tasting room.

We walk on private vineyard trails, and through a secret gate, from Groot Constantia to Klein Constantia.

We taste three wines at Klein Constantia, including the world-famous Vin de Constance. For the past five years, Klein Constantia has been named in the top 50 vineyards in the world. 

We walk to Buitenverwachting, slipping deeper into the Constantia vineyards and pass a picturesque dam. 

We taste three wines and have lunch at Buitenverwachting, known for its harvest platters and lovely lawns that are popular with the locals for picnics.

We walk from Buitenverwachting back to Groot Constantia, where the tour began. 

We complete the tour loop back at Groot Constantia, buoyant from a morning well spent in the vineyards.
